Go to Bridal Reflections in either Carle place or Massapequa they have a HUGE selection!

You are going bm dress shopping before dress shopping for yourself?! lol

I wanted to do same color / fabric different dresses and everyone ended up liking the same dress lol - I went to David's bridal it was just easiest because my friends are spread all over. To be honest, there selection wasnt fabolous but I was only looking at cocktail dresses.

Yeah, they are worth checking out. Not the largest selection but its convenient and good starting point, especially if you want something a little more simple. Good luck and have fun!

I went to Renates in Lindenhurst. Its nice and we had the whole place to ourselves. Melissa is awesome to work with. Davids Bridal is ok but I have gotten a bm dress from there and I found the quality to be cheap. My zipper on my dress was broken. They put you in to a dress that might fit you and then you have to do alot of alterations. I know there might be some alterations but it was like I had to redo the whole dress. Some people have had alot of sucess there but it isnt my cup of tea.

I have HATED DB as a bridesmaid. There is no way I am goign to force my girls to deal with them.

I agree with Faye about DB. My friend used them last year for her wedding and my dress was HUGE. Granted I lost weight but at 190lbs there was no way I was a size 18. They said cuz my boobs were big that I had to get the bigger size. My boobs havent shrunk and the dress literally fell down when I had it on. I took it to another seamstress to have it altered and they couldnt even alter it down enough to make it fit right because it was THAT big.

That being said.. I know that the wedding center in Commack doesnt have the best rap, but I went there with a few of my girls a couple weeks ago and the ladies that I worked with in the BM and MOB depts were AMAZING! They even let me put on the sample of my gown to try out accessories KNOWING I bought elsewhere. I think their bad reputation stems from their limo/photo/dj end and not so much thd dresses. The have almost every dress out there. If your looking for it they probably have it. AND they will match or even beat the lowest price you can find.

I did this but the Massapequa location. Yes, the dresses are the best made but I feel I found a cute one and honestly, no one, no matter how cute, will ever wear the dress ever again. SO I felt that saving them a lil bit of cash (dresses were only $125) made my BM's very happy!

I believe there are pics in my album. (I chose wisteria though which is a touch darker than lavender)

Dresses AREN'T the best made

good advice, maybe i will skip DB all together!!

I got a dress as BM from David's for a wedding in May. We chose this dress with like crepe material, and I actually loved it and would wear it again. The only thing was that was probably the ONLY dress I really liked that I tried on and would wear again. For me, at the time I was a size 10 and the dress was pretty true to my size with no alterations needed which was good because I paid 125 for the dress and that was it. I highly doubt I would go back there only because Their standard bridesmaid dresses are so-so, and I wanted a bit different of a style than what DB has to offer.

I plan on trying Macy's (not biggest selection, but they have some nice styles there!) as well as Village Bridal where I am going tonight to try on dresses for myself!!

I didn't do my dresses yet but, we just ordered dresses for my MOH's wedding from Bridal Suite in Centereach, on middle country road, they are really nice to work with and had a really big selection, I think you live in Suffolk so this might be a good spot to try :)

PS I just went to a good friends wedding at Lands End in May and it was awesome! :)

Eek that stinks :( Yeah its weird some places get the worst rep for things but some people can have great experiences there, hate that!

I wouldn't go near paradise bridal in patchogue because of the reviews, and a friend of mine just used them and had a horrific experience too..:(
