Hmmmm I don't think it's terrible, but just for the sake of seeing how the styles you like fit on the girls it might be worth it to bring a couple of them?
no... i picked mine myself... it just so happened everyone loves the dress...
My cousin did. But at least she picked something really nice. But even if it was awful, I would've s*cked it up and worn it.
nope.. this is what I did.. went to the store picked it up and now i am going back with my girls so then they can see it in person and order the dress

i don't think it's bad to ultimately pick the dress you like and want the most, but i think you should include them in the process of looking. some styles i saw online and loved, but they looked terrible on. i'd never know that if they weren't there to try them on

I didn't let my BMs pick, I just had my MOH come so I could see her try them on. Then I made the decision. I did then have all of the girls try it on so that I could make sure I liked it on them. Some of my girls don't LOVE it, and, honestly, this is one thing I was kind of bridezilla on. I think it's fine!
For my sister's wedding, she and I (and my mom) just went. And decided... 1 of the girls hated the dress, but we didn't know that until afterwards (she's a bit of a snob anyway!!) Everybody seemed to respect that it was HER wedding and HER day and ultimately HER choice... The style looked great on everyone (and that's what we were looking for... she and I are like night and day when it comes to body types, so that helped!!)
I kind of did too, I picked out the place and general style of the dresses and had my BMs come to try on to make sure I liked and what style they would get (letting them pick their own from four different styles). It was easier on me!

I was actually thinking the same thing. I want to go myself first and then take them when I pretty much know what I want.

i wouldnt do that to my girls but thats me.
they are all investing so much time and money into my day . i felt they deserved to be happy in a gown. thats the reason why i let them pick whatever they wanted.
just for shiits and giggles i had the girls try on each others gown and man they did not look good.
plus i picked one gown that i thought would totally work on all them. turns out it worked on one.

How did you do this? I want all my girls happy! Are the dresses the same designer and color, just they got to pick the style??
hoenstly i would have them come with me. i just went with 3 of mine and it went well. they all picked one dress and it looked good on all of them and they were all comfy! i would want all of them to be comfy and happy in there dress.
It's not terrible. I went alone the first time. Just brought my sister after that and then went with one of by BMs another time. Ultimately I made the decision and then told the rest where to go to be measured and order it. Less drama.
