FSIL is a Jr. BM. Shes a 16 and is old enough to be a BM but her and I aren't close and in order to keep the BP even, I made her a Jr. BM (same dress as the BM's but different color)
I sent out a email on Saturday to all of the BM's and FSIL saying that the BM dress needs to be ordered by January 1, blah blah. FH and I have reminded FSIL many times about getting this ordered for over 2 months. She hasn't responded to my email and I know she has read it. She's been really hesitate to get measured for the dress because she gained a little weight.
My question is...I think I have done all I can to push her to get measured, FH as well. Do I need to keep harassing her until Jan 1 to get measured or should I leave 'the ball in her court?'
I'd just leave it. If she doesn't order the dress, then she can't walk down the aisle...if you've really been on her a lot about it and she hasn't done anything then its her own d*mn fault...she's old enough to take responsibility.
i would have your fh talk to her but ask him to not make it seem as if you were on top of him to ask her. he could say something like he knows you emailed all of them the other day, just wanted to make sure she got it and maybe offer to give her a ride or something to go all together to get fitted

thats what i was thinking...FMIL is aware of the situation as well and no one has made an attempt to get on it.
it wasnt my choice to have her in the bp anyway, it was FMIL guilting us into including his brothers and sisters in the wedding. soooo if she didnt get measured i dont really mind. thats mean lol
Could you talk to her mother? I know she's 16...but even at that age they need to reminded about things over and over again. She's still on the younger side so she might not realize how important it is to do it NOW. Mabe her mom can get on her case about it.

ITA. At 16 the only thing you care about is yourself, and that's ok bc she's still a kid. Make her mom take her.

i agree- i think u should get on FMIL's case about it. when i was 16 i didnt have a car to drive anywhere nor did i have $$ to put down a deposit on a dress!
