BM Dress swatches

BM Dress swatches

Does anyone know ordering swatches works? I can't finalize flowers and tuxes until I finalize the BM dresses. They both need swatches to match up to.

How does it work exactly?....do I order swatches from the dress shop when I order the BM dresses or from the designer's website? How long does it take to get them?

when I ordered the BM dresses I asked Phyllis for a swatch. She had them upstairs in her shop. The stores can always order you a swatch as well.

Order the swatch prior to anything. I ordered swatches of my wedding dress two weeks before placing the order to verify teh exact color. Whites can turn dull over time and wear. I also wanted Ivory and the sample was in white so I needed to verify that.

For the Bm I am ordering the dresses on Friday (going shopping also for the first time with the gals) I plan on ordering the swatches right then so I have it for everything else. VERY important swatches for me. But that is me... you might not really care.

So to answer the original poster - go call up your shop or stop in and ask them to cut you off a bit of their swatch or tell them to order you a seperate swatch of the colors you need.

davids bridal made me pay $1.05 for the swatch i wanted... lol. my mom and i were like are you effin kiddin me? but we hadnt ordered dresses yet, so maybe if we had they would have been free? i dunno...

Get a grip on this.....when you get a Dessy from Bridal Refelctions, you DON'T GET a swatch! You have to order one for like 15 bucks from Dessy....BS or what?

that is b/s because the shops all get free fabric swatches.. they just don't want to share IoI They make you pay for another one. I might be doing a dessy dress so i better bring $15 tomorrow because my but needs that green swatch.

Yeah- a few dollars OK, but $15 when you are ordering dresses. How big of a piece of fabric are these swatches?? I was thinking its a 3x3 inch square??

when I ordered my girls dresses they gave me a sample swatch so I can give to the groom so he can get started on the suits

nope still not free! i bought the swatch after i ordered them and they still charged 1.05

I just ordered swatches from the dress company themselves, not the boutque.. I got it for free in two weeks.
They let me had smany swatches as I wanted too!

Worth calling the dress company your thinking about using and ask them what they can do for your before you get it from the store.

I called my designer Alfred Angelo directly and they mailed it out for free.

Good luck- I called my bridal store 2 months ago and followed up a few times since then- still no swatch in the mail like they promised I may call the manufacturer directly and order one.

eh. I have to go there and check it out! I ordered my BM dresses from there and forgot to get the swatches.. i need a couple.

that is sucky! and $15??? that should buy you a yard of the fabric
