Hey gals, I'm pretty new to this posting business (I think my FH has actually posted a question once haha!) so here's my official first question-
Any suggestions where to begin looking for BM dresses?? I have looked online, but there's just sooo many out there I kinda want to just go to a store. Any good shops you can suggest I go to? Would you bring all your BMs your first time out looking in shops?

Re: BM Dresses
I started looking through bridal magazines. Then, I went to the knot.com. Also, do you have any idea of what designer bm dresses you like. As far as shops where do you live? I, personally wouldn't take my bm when I'm just going to look. But, that's just my opinion.
Hope this helps.

Re: BM Dresses
i went to Lestan's in Canarsie to find my dress and all my BM came with me. Right after I found mine, they went into the BM section and found there's! I have 8 BMs and they all agreed. I also looked in magazines to get ideas. i ended up going with something totally different. same with my dress. you never know how u like it until you see it on. good luck!

Try Bridal Reflections in Massapequa which is close to you (on Broadway near LIRR) or you can try finding a particular dress you like online and then find out who carries it.
You should do it soon though because 2007 is next week! The dresses take about 4-5 months to come in. HTH!

Re: BM Dresses
i started on the knot and went to a few places.....but davids bridal does have a lot.....so does the wedding center in commack. then you can at least narrow down your choices.

I loved going to Rk bridal - you can browse to your heart's content without anyone bothering you. They even let you try on all the BM dresses that you want. You just pick them off the rack, grab a room and try them on.

Re: BM Dresses
Wow thank you all so much! I am definitely checking out the Commack shop and I need to set a day to go to RK in the city, did you find that RK had BM dresses in multiple colors?

Re: BM Dresses
I would search thru Bridal Mags first, this way you can get an idea of what you like as far as style and start there. Then go to some of the designer sites and sift thru and see what you love and work from there. I only brought 1 BM with me, I thought bringing them all would make me nuts.

Re: BM Dresses
I would start at bridal reflections in Massapequa. They have so many different designers there. If you find one you like I would then contact Phyliss from bridal elegance to see how much money you would save. Good luck

They usually only have one sample color, but then you order in a lot of different colors

Re: BM Dresses
My sister and I had a horrible experiences with bridesmaid dresses at David's Bridal. JMO, but I would try Bridal reflections in Massapequa. They have a great selection and you don't need an appointment on a weekday this time of year, so you can pop in and take a look whenever you have a chance.
