BM dresses

While I was getting measured for my dresses one of my BMs was like lets go look at BM dresses for fun. I was totally up for that. Well, the wedding is in Hawaii and I was trying to decide what I should do with the lenght. I want my BMs to wear flip flops like I am, so for some reason I think I should definitely do long dresses even though people keep telling me to maybe do tea length. What do you guys think? I will try to upload some of the pics. I am going for a periwinkle color.

I am also worried in that my BMs are all such different sizes and shapes. What kind of dresses work for these situations???

Re: BM dresses

I would get true ALINE. the a-line dress will do best for hips and tummys and you can do them both in tea length and long....

Tea length would show the flipflops better than long would, and might be more comfy (one of the reasons i picked that for my may wedding) with the warmth and with the sand in between your toes ( ah! Hawaii!! Im jealous!!!)

But regardless of length...def aline!!! Im not sure if what you posted were aline...but if notyou can def find them in aline!

Re: BM dresses

in my opinion if your bm are on the heavier side.. then spaghetti straps are a no go... basically whatever theyll feel most comfortable in...its hard because one girl might like umpire waist and in my opinion makes some people look preggers.. soo i would say try on till everyone agrees.. i know im not going in with a def decision with my sisters because they are all different sizes.. and i want them to wear whats comfortable

Re: BM dresses

FH sisters live in Hawaii and California, another BM lives in VA and then the rest are in LI. I will never get them all togther I just have to pick a designer that is all over the country. Maybe I can go with FH's sisters when I am in Hawaii this summer. That may work best. Definitely A line, I am thinking that rouge stuff will hide tummies

Re: BM dresses

I would take as many of them as I can with me to try on what I liked and tell me in their honest opinion how comfy they felt. satin will hide problem areas the best. Show them what you like...pick the dresses out, but them have them tell you how they feel. If they look uncomfy..itll show on your wedding day, regardless how pretty the dress is

My friend took all of us to try on dresses. we wound up picking her #1 choice bc it was the most comfy (and aline) and flattered us best...

I agress on the no spaghetti straps...not the most flattering!

Re: BM dresses

oh definitely. The place where I got my dress is giving me $50 dollars off every dress that I order from them. They said that I can call in sizes etc. I am just a bit worried about it. I have time thank god. I found a great Bill Levkoff too but it didn't come in anything close to my color!!!
