I have a small BP but everyone is a drastically different shape, height, etc. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bill Levkoff 966, want to do in Euro Sable (both gown and sash), with MOH in Euro Sable with either Ivory sash or Fuschia sash. But my MOH (sister) is plus size - really tall too - and not sure how it will look to have a band of color accentuate her middle - she's kind of boxy - I'm thinking it will give her a waist. She can't try on, the samples are too small, so it's kind of a gamble. What do you ladies think???
Also, I love the sash in the back, but do you think they'll get stepped on, etc?
TIA!!

Re: BM Dresses...
I used 966 and I loved it. My BM's had all different body types. My SIL is a short, but also plus sized, and then another girl was very tall and very thin..and so on with the other girls. I thought the dresses looked amazing on all of them, no matter what body type they had. As far as the sash, we had the sashes cut in the back, so that when you bustled the dress, the sash was the same lenght as the bustle. When the bustle was let down, the sashes were shorter. It worked out perfectly!
ETA: There are some pics in my albums, but I have more if you need. They are under the album of the proofs.

Thanks!! Great pics! The dresses looked beautiful! Wondering if you have any pics of the bustle? The only other thing I am worried about is the thickness of the sash, if someone is shortwaisted, would it be bad, could it be altered, etc...

Re: BM Dresses...
i have girls in my BM in the same position, they didnt try on in the shop they took their measurements on their own and called them in. its not a gamble, theyll fit to their bodies since its their measurements and you can just look at the other BMs in the dress to get an idea. JMO. mine are bill levkoff too.

You're right, they'll all get measured. I just know that even though something may fit, it may not look good (I have problems fitting my bottom-heavy shape).
I keep looking at BM dresses but there's just something about Bill Levkoff that I love - can't figure it out. The quality just seems really great.

Re: BM Dresses...
MY best friend is getting married 3 weeks after me and wnated Bill Levkoff but the dresses were chiffon and didnt have much color choice. ONLY reason we didnt do Bill. He really needs better chiffon colors. However, that said, his dresses were the only ones we found that were universally flattering no matter what fabric you tried a dress on in. We're Latina. We have some luggage in the trunk lol and yet every dress looked fabulous on all of us. I am 5'6 and curvy. brides twin is 4'11 and SUPER curvy and yet it looked fine on both of us. Definetly go with Bill if he has your colors. Something about the material just hangs well. We tried Alvina Valenta and lazaro who are pricier and we all looked horrific! Just didnt hang well.
