Re: bm dresses

My wedding is 9/26/2003 and I started rounding up the girls about 2 weeks ago and we still haven't made it to the store yet. I have 8 girls and it's going to take patience to coordinate them all. I started early beacuse I wan to be stress free from this summer forward. Just my opinion

Re: bm dresses

After the holidays- January. That will give you plenty of time. I also recommend taking only 1 or 2 girls (MOH and sister for instance) with you to pick the dress. If you bring everyone there are bond to be 'I like this' 'I hate this' issues all day. Pick what you like, take 1-2 girls to try it on and make sure it will compliment every body type in your party, then have the girls order their gowns.

Re: bm dresses

I say January too.

My wedding is October of this year and we started looking in March and ordered by the end of April. All my dresses were in by July 1st!

Re: bm dresses

I'm getting married in July and I got my girls to go last month. It was easier than I thought. The 2nd place we went to, they found a dress and all loved it. The salon told me it would take 3-4 months to get in.

Re: bm dresses

This is what I did for my Sept 2001 wedding. The summer of 2000 several of the girls came to visit me in NC and we went shopping to look for me -- and I had them try on dresses to see what styles, colors suited them and my wedding theme, ideas, colors.

Then in Fall 2000 took my one BM (the pickiest one), shopping. We found three dresses we liked and I shared those pictures with the BMs. When I got a good idea of which style they preferred it was pretty easy to narrow it down and then I didn't order the dresses until March 2001 and had them by May 2001.

I definitely agree with bringing just one or two BM or you MOH with you at first.
