I need your help!! I found the dress for my BM's Alvina Valenta style # 9822 (hopefully a picture of my MOH in the dress went through). We are doing a mid-summer nights dream 'theme' and therefore doing a blue for the girls. I dont' want baby blue or navy but I'm confused! haha
The only swatchs for Alvina valenta's satin that I kinda like are the Blue moon or the french blue but I'm not sure.
Does anyone have pictures of either of those colors in real pictures? Also, I'm totally interested in seeing pictures of your wedding if you had a blue and if you could tell me the designer/name of the blue I would appreciate it soooooo much.
The color is the only thing holding me back from having the girls order them!
ANY help would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first of all, as an english teacher, i think i love you
i can't help you with pics of dresses in those colors, but my advice to you is to go to a bridal salon that carries AV and try on a sample in that color (even if it isn't THE dress). we're using moss (JH, AV, lazaro), which looks lighter in pics than in person. i even took the dress outside into the sun to see the diff bc our ceremony is outside. don't trust the airbrushed comp pics! good luck

I wore Alvina's smokey blue for my sisters wedding and it was gorgeous!!! We got so many compliments on the color!

Im using Sky Blue and French Blue by Jim Hjelm which I believe uses the same colors as Alvina Valenta. I also think the colors differ depending on the material the dress is. I'm using Satin Faced Taffeta. Definitely go to a bridal store and check it out. The colors look very different in person.
My girls wore Alvina Valenta French Blue dresses. It is VERY light. Its basically baby blue. See my albums or my review for pictures.

Anyone ever hear though that you could order from the swatch samples of JH, Lazaro and Alvina Valenta so long as the material was the same since they are all owned by the same company???

The smokey blue is so pretty, I don't think it comes for plain satin though :( I'll have to bug and ask them haha

I'm using Blue Moon satin dresses with ivory sashes. I LOVE the color!!!!! I have lots of pics from a girl's wedding on here that used the same dresses as me!
