So FH wants yellow of some kind and I can't find any I love. I found one dress I loved in pink and then we can do yellow flowers. I did find this dress and absolutely love it in black with a yellow sash and really bright flowers. What do you think? Honest opinion. My mom is totally against black but I feel like I am getting married on a friday night in april at the CB and its very modern so I think I would like it.
I love the style of the 2nd dress-if you did that in pink with the yellow flowers; or even in black with some yellow accent it would like pretty.

Re: BM dresses-- black?
i love the 2nd dress too! I think dress #1 is pretty, but when you say black dress with yellow sash, the first thing I think of is a bumble bee (sorry!) I'm sure if I saw it, I'd think it was pretty, but that's what comes to mind. I think if you do the 2nd dress in either pink or black, it would look great! Plus, I like that material better for a spring wedding - more light and flowy

I might be biased because my girls are in black, but I think the black with the yellow sash would look really nice!

I love the first dress, it is one that is on my list of possibilities. the pic does it no justice since the back is beautiful and has a train and the sash meets the train in the back. I would be carefull with yellow. I think it was recently in Cosmo or something that Yellow is the hardest color to wear and most people do not look good in it .

I have NO IDEA if this would look nice or not b/c I haven't looked...but have you seen the BM dreses that the bodice has lace over a different color? I wonder if you could do black lace over yellow (and the skirt would be black). I believe the Dessy Group companies make quite a few gowns like that.

Oh also, I see no problem with black. It's classy, and very popular, and I'm doing it for a Saturday spring day - which is probably not the greatest idea, but I love it, so that's it.

Well i orininally wanted them wearing yellow but 2 of them are pale and they looked like jack*A*S*S*E*S in the dress.. so I figure black with just a little yellow

I thought the same thing. I love the second dress and if you did that dress in black you could have your girls carry yellow flowers.

Yellow is a hard color to pull off. I think you've got the right idea. And good for you for looking out for your girls!

I agree with you. My colors are green and yellow and I wanted yellow dresses as well but yellow just does not look good on all skin types (and let's face sometimes neither does green) so I am going to route of black dresses for the girls and their flowers will be yellow with greens.

I like the second dress, but is the chiffon? Be careful with chiffon if you have anyone that is a little bit heavy. I do like the first one in black and yellow as well.

Re: BM dresses-- black?
i tired on that first dress for my sister's wedding. for anyone who has a couple of extra pounds - this dress is very unflattering.
black and yellow do remind me of a bumble bee as well - be careful
i would go with dress #2 - but no matter what - yellow is known to be one of the most difficult colors for people to pull off. i would probably stick with yellow accents like flowers or something.
i was met with constant negativity when i mentioned black BM dresses

The biggest BM is like a size 8- and that's at her heaviest. Everyone else is like a 0-2- or 4
