I have 2 BM's that will be coming from upstate for the wedding, the ther 9 are from around here...I had always just assumed that I would give the style and dress # to the OOT BM's and they could order it at a bridal salon around them. They are both 17 and its not like they come to visit very often (they are both cousins of mine). I was speaking to a friend of mine yesterday and she said this wasn't a good idea b/c the dye lots are going to be different, so the dresses may or may not be slightly off from the others.
Has anyone done this? if so, did you have any problems? TIA

Re: BM dresses Question
My sister had 2 out of state bridesmaids. They got measured by a shop or seamstress where they live and called in their measurements to the bridal salon here... so the dresses were all made from the same lot.

Re: BM dresses Question
Half of my bridal party live in a different state from the other half. I had my out of state girls try on the dress at a store near them and give me their sizes. I ordered all of the dresses at the same time from one store. This way I knew I'd be the same dye lot and we'd only have to worry about one order instead of multiple ones!
