I am having a sat nite wedding in august. Can I have short BM dresses b/c it's summer or is it more appropriate to be long b/c it's evening?

Re: BM Dresses - short or long?
hmmm thats an interesting question. I'm having a day wedding so my girls will wear short dresses. But I think b/c it is summer a tea-length would be acceptable.

I think you can do either. Tea length would be nice.

i think either length is totally fine. it's ultimately all up to you! (& your BMs) But as a guest, I wouldn't think it would be 'weird' for the bridal party have short dresses for a August night wedding~ HTH!

short dresses work well for any time/season as long as they are still dressy and accessorized with fancy stuff

Re: BM Dresses - short or long?
the length you choose is all up to your taste. The tea length is very pretty and can look just as elegant as a long dress.
Have you asked you BM is they like anything in particular?

You can do whatever you want, I really dont think that there is a rule for this...and if there was it went away a long time ago. If you love the short do the short

i don't think there are rules you really need to follow...i am having a day wedding but i decided i wanted it more on the formal side so my bm are wearing long gowns...i guess just see what you want the overall feeling of the wedding to be...if you want to have a more casual summer wedding the tea length will be great (i love tea length) if you want more formal i say go for long.

Re: BM Dresses - short or long?
Its up to you...its your wedding. However, you may want to consider how confortable your bridesmaid wearing a dress you choose.
For my day wedding, I picked a specific color and fabric, as well as designer and let them decide if they want long or short.
