Where should I go looking for BM dresses? I especialy like Dessy dresses, so a store that has alot of their collection would be great. Thanks!

I don't know if they have Dessy, but I plan to start at Lillette's in Baldwin. That's where I'm getting my gown, and if my BM's get their dresses there, they get 10% off. From what I saw there, it also looked like they had a really good selection.
ETA: I just checked the Dessy sight and it says that Lillette's does in fact carry them

Do you need an appointment for Lillettes? Ive called to find out but there is the same message that comes on all the time telling what their hours are!

RK Bridal in NYC has alot to choose from in Dessy (as well as other brands)

I went to the WEdding Plaza in Floral Park. Bought my gown and BM dresses there. they have a nice large selection. ALso, there's Lynbrook Bridal that has a nice selection too. It's on sunrise hwy by White Castle

I would say NOT to shop at Lillette's for BM gowns. My friend got her bridal gown there and thought she was saving us all this money on our BM gowns by getting us 10% off.. it's not a lot at all. It just covers the tax. I am having the worst experience ever with this store as a BM in her wedding party. They ordered a dress for me that was TRIPLE the size of another dress I wore when I was a BM a year ago. Now they are going to charge me $65 in alterations. I find that highly dishonest. I would have rather paid the 10% more at another store than to deal with these people. With that said, I think they are great for wedding gowns, my sister had an awesome experience with them in that respect, but I am not happy with getting my BM dress there.

i second that.. they have a lot of dresses to look at... and they're great you can look for as long as you want. no one bothers you. but they do give you a time limit of 30 mins in the fitting room.

I found my dresses at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, but ordered them through Burtons Bridal in Melville. I was able to knock about $50 off the dress doing this. Even if Burton's doesn't have the dresses in the store they can usually call in the dress for much cheaper.

Got the BM dresses at The Wedding Plaza. The bridal store in Lyndbrook on Sunrise Highway has a big selection, but be careful. I got a bm dress there for my friends wedding and they ordered a size larger. I told them when they ordered it that that size was going to be too big and they told me it would not be big. Well it was too large and I spent so much in alterations! Same thing happened to another friend of mine.

If you are going to RK I highly highly suggest going on a weekday because then you are not limited to 30 minutes when using the dressing rooms and its actually a pleasant experience without 100 people over you! ps-- they have great prices and beat online pricing by 10%.

I just picked up the girls' dresses at RK Bridal and the whole process was great - everyone was nice and efficient when I went in to order and then to pick up. Plus they beat the price I got from another place online.
