BM dresses with shawls for a June wedding - POLL (CLOSED I FIGURED IT OUT)

What do you think? One of my bridemaids who is also my best friend has an issue with her shoulders and arms. She feels a little chubby in that area so she wants to wear a shawl. My problem is, does a shawl work in June? Thanks.

What about a sheer shawl? So she's covered but still summery looking?

we prbably arent getting them for the end of april just because they are another $85

My BMs dress comes with a shawl and I am getting married in August. I think it's okay.

I agree, go with a light shawl, not a heavy satin one. Also what about just letting those girls choose a different style dress?

I think its fine...doesnt matter if ur getting married in July...besides most churches prefer in BMs have a shawl on if the dress is very open....

My future cousin had her BM's wear shear, black shawls. They looked so pretty and elegant.

I wore a bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal that came witha shawl to a wedding in June. It was VERY hot out, but the shawl didn't make it worse. We just wore them in the the church, & even left them ont eh pews when we walked out. I woudl have owrn it out of the church & in the pictures,( tp cover the mosquito bit I got in the church!) but no one else wanted to.

It was a satiny material, which is kind of soothing in the heat. A sheer one might work too, but it depends on the fabric, so of those synthetics can bee really warm, even though they are sheer.

I said yes becuase even though our wedding is in Septmber I'm planning on giving the girls pashmina shawls. They're light & stylish & can be used again. Labor Day weekend is ususlly pretty warm with a cool evening so I can't see why it wouldn't work in June?

My best friend called me crying that she was sorry she was a bad bridesmaid and she is too self conscious to not wear a shawl. She would drop out of the BP.

I said no way!!! We have been best friends for 12 years. If you want a shawl, you got it!
