So, my BM dresses came in and I am super excited. Howver, i showed them to a few of my friends not in the bridal party and they were making fun of them and joking around how it looked almost like an 80's prom dress and is borderline tacky if I do not get the right shoes for it. I was pissed but woke up this morning and began questioning my decsion.

The colors are pistachio and tea rose for the midde. Moh will have an ivory middle. The skirt is MSKT-K and top is style number 6489. TIA girls!

the dress is very pretty , dont listen to them. i am confused about the color. the skirt is pistachio and the top is rose? just trying to get an idea so i can pick right shoe?
Thanks. The top and skirt are pistachio but the middle part of the top (tht looks alittle like a sash thing) is tea rose with a silver broach on the side.

ok i get it .. very pretty love pink green combo, amazing. I would do a nude color/camel open toE shoe that has a very thin strap, the dress has pretty colors , you dont want the foot to be the focal point with this dress. let me find you what i am looking for

Ita or do a fun silver shoe, I think with the dyeable pink shoe it could be to matchy, matchy!! If you girls had some nice chanderlier earrings it come together very nicely

Who gives a $hit what anyone else thinks? If you like them then you should use them! Personally, I don't think they are tacky or '80s prom-like in the LEAST! I think they are very simple and elegant. And I think silver shoes would look very nice with a pistachio color. Maybe even gold.

Ignore your 'friends.' I think it's rude, no matter what, for them to say those comments to you. Non-brides have no idea how much brides stress about every little detail.They probably just thought they were being funny…even though they obviously are not.
I think the dresses will look pretty – very summery. I’d pair the dress with silver shoes.
