BM gift help/idea

Okay so i need honest opinions.. i thought it was cute at first but now i'm thinking it might just be weird/cheap looking.

I sell makeup so I thought it would be a good idea to get each of the BMs a cute cosmetic bag and compact mirror with their names on it and then fill the bag with different kinds of makeups and lotions since i sell them.

is this a good idea or is it tacky? would you want to recieve this?

it's not their complete gift, i also bought them all shawls and paying for 1/2 their hair (i'm not made of money lol)

That is a VERY nice gift! What girl wouldn't want a bag full of makeup and lotion? HA

I would personally love that.

If it is a really nice bag and that is the main gift, then it is ok. Otherwise I really don't think that it is right to give a gift that is the same thing that you sell.

i think that is a GREAT idea, i was going to do compact mirrors for my BP but i gave one to one of my BMs as a bday gift a few years ago so i nixed it in favor of silver keychains and purses

Given the three different gifts you are giving, I think it is fine to give your BMs makeup that you sell. I don't have a lot of money either, but in addition to gifts I plan to be extremely thankful and gracious to my BMs as thanks for their participation. That goes a long way too.

Who doesn't need more make-up and a place to put it? I think it's a fine gift and would be a nice addition to the other items

ok girls thanks! i feel better about my decision. now its just the hard part.. figuring out what each one would want lol..

also does anyone know any good places to find cosmetic bags or compacts that are engravable?

there is a store that sells lots of engraveable things in the roosevelt field mall... it's right by the food court, but i don't remember what it's called...

anyone else know?

My friend works for estee lauder & did that for us at her wedding - great gift, I LOVED it.

I would love to receive a gift like this. And I don't think it's tacky since you sell them. As long as you don't throw an order form or something like that in the bag, that's fine. If you worked at Macy's and bought the stuff with your employee discount, it would be similar, I think.
