I've heard this a lot but i'm on the fence about it....

Is is appropiate to give the bms a gift certificate for their day of m.u? Many of the m.u artists I've seen told me that brides are doing this rather than buying them a gift. Is this appropiate???

For some reason this feels weird to me and I think I'm supposed to buy something tangible....no?

What are your thoughts....honestly

I'm giving my girls the option of doing their own makeup so I would feel like I was 'shorting' them if I paid for their makeup the day of as a 'gift'. But some people would prefer that their girls get their make up done and, in that case, the ladies would probably appreciate you paying for it because that's less money they have to lay out.

i agree with bonnie - if you want them all to get their make up done i would say it would be a nice gift, but if you don't mind either way, i wouldn't. i would get them a regular gift.

I have been in many weddings.. and always the bride wanted us to get our makeup professionally done.. so I knew I was shelling out that money.. its like expected so I got my BMs gifts

I got my girls their DOJ, and also a tote bag. I would like to give them a GC towards either their Makeup or Hair.

I am paying for their make up and giving them another gift, possibly a make up bag to go with the theme so they have something for the day of the wedding and something for after the wedding.

I am getting some smaller gifts, monogrammed towels, LL bean bags, flip flops, etc, and I am paying for their makeup.

im getting their make up done so they did not have an added expense and im also getting them earrings...im thinking of getting them something else but havent figure it out yet

i gave my girls the option for makeup.......i bought them pashmina shawls, bracelet, necklace, rhinestone hair clips, & a metallic tote all to use day of

I emailed my girls the cost of the makeup and told them to let me know if they are interested in having their makeup done (making it somewhat clear that I would not pay for it). My MOH was the only one that responded that she would like her makeup professionally done. I am, however, paying for their hair. I haven't decided what else I am going to get yet. Maybe VS satin robes ;)
