I'm about to scream right now.....I saw three of my BMs this weekend, and I told them since I am having an afternoon wedding that I would be having someone come to the house and do my makeup and hair and asked if anyone was interested so I could obtain some prices for them. My MOH said she wanted both, another BM said she may be interested because of the time frame. The third BM said she's getting her hair blown out the day before and will just be wearing it straight (yea....try to make yourself look pretty for pictures, why don't you).
So today I call this one place for prices, and they had an amazing package price (Yes, I'm going to book a trial before I finalize anything), so I send a text to all 4 girls and ask who is interested in what. Now my MOH says she's getting her hair done the night before and will just want makeup. Another BM (the one getting the blow out) says she's not interested in anything and is getting her hair done the night before. Ok, that's great ladies....BUUUT my Rehearsal Dinner is the night before, and I told them this over the weekend. So now they're getting their hair done in the afternoon, going to the RD, and THEN going to my wedding WITH THE SAME HAIR!!!!!!! They'll all have messy hair.....I'm a little upset no one wants to look nice for me.
Am I the only one who has BMs doing this?

hmmm I personally know my hair, especially an updo or anything to do with curls, doesn't last overnight after sleeping on it. Why don't you tell them its silly to get it done for the RD and to just get it done the morning of?

Because my BMs are a bunch of cheapies....sorry to be mean, but they all have jobs (except one, who's a stay at home mom), and two live at home with parents. So they have money.
I feel like telling them, stop buying so many toys for your pets and don't go boozing during restaurant week, and you will have the money for your hair and makeup.

I gave my girls the options and all but two are getting it done with me. It's fine though... I usually go to my own hair/makeup people for a wedding just to save some money. I think it's silly they're saying they're going to do it the night before but that is just me.

Ugh thats ridiculous. My hair would look so funky the next day. Can you maybe explain to them that you are a little nervous and really would feel better if you all got it done the morning of at your house? Maybe you can tell them that you really wanted it to be a special girls' only gathering where you all eat breakfast and drink mimosas together while getting dolled up ?

you could always pay for their hair/makeup as their gift. And it ensures you get pretty pictures.

I had the same issue with a couple of my girls...actually one in particular took the cake!!!!
The night of the RD, she told me she was doing her hair in curls. I said ok fine..
The morning of the wedding , she showed up with her hair half up half down and one of the other BMs asked her is she still had to do her hair...yea thats how regular it looked.
She ended up feeling like the dumb a$$ cause she was the only one that didnt have her hair done. This is the best part...
I HAD TO END UP CURLING HER HAIR THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING!!!
I only curled her ends becasue everyone else thought she was stupid too and no one wanted to deal with her, but for my own sake I told her to sit her a$$ down and did it really quick..
so anyways, Yea I understand how you feel but I think you should tell them about your concerns that it wont last. I dont think its right to force them to get it done if they cant pay but even if they are doing it themselves, it should be done THE MORNING OF!

Whenever I have my hair blown out it always stays great for the next day. If it's more than a blowout I would be concerned, but a blowout should be fine.

I have had my hair blown out for events and it was fine the next day. I just curled it a little with a curling iron and it was good to go. Lots of salons tell people not to wash their hair the day they are going to get it done for an event because (i know it sounds a little yucky) day old hair holds a style better. Not to mention, if they get a good blow out the night or day before, and want to curl their hair a little the day of, it could look just fine depending on their hair type.
