BM HELP

I just went to a party the other night and it was brought up that i was going brides maid dress shopping. And she told me it took her bridal party 4 different outing to finally pick a dress. Maybe i am neive since this is my first time getting married and all but i was hopeing that this tuesday (my first time going) we would be able to pick a dress out.

So after that long story, how many different outings did it take to pick out a BM dress????

First, I researched the types of gowns that would look best on my BM''s body types. Then, I chose two over the internet and sent the pictures to everyone. They loved one of them, so we found a store that had that dress. They tried the dress on and loved it!

I am of the opinion that the bride should do some research before taking their bridesmaids to a store where there are a thousand dresses.

As an example, my sister and I popped over to Bridal Reflections for fun. She took one look at me and said... what am I looking for?? And I said... just look for something you like. We came up with nothing.

We went where I bought my gown. My girls sizes are on every end of the spectrum. I took one of my MOH''s, we picked a dress, then I got together with all the other girls so that they could try on the dress and get sized.

With 7 women, it was easier for me to say 'this is the dress' instead of this one liking this one but the other hates, etc.

I am like you and thought it would be fairly simple!
First alot of the dresses I liked in magazines, I didnt like in person!
I realized it will probably take about 4 maybe more outings to find a dress!
Its important to me that I find a dress I really like because I have to live with the pictures forever! And I want all the girls to at least be comfortable in the dress if nothing else!

It took us 1! This is because all I took was my MOH and we picked the dress together. I have a large bridal party and I KNOW that i will never be able to please everyone so as long as both my MOH and I like the dress that is all that matters

Hmmm. Good idea taking the MOH first. Well i guess if tue, which all but one of the girls are going to be there (she lives in Las Vegas), than that is what i will do. Thanks for the advice girls.
