Please don't quote me....will probably pull most of this post later today.
One of my BM's lives in Florida. My shower was a few weeks ago. She never even RSVP'd. Never called to see how it went. Never asked my sis if there was anything she could do to help. I sent her a link with pics, never even said, 'Wow u looked great, sorry I couldn't be there.' She was in NY this past weekend, never called. Nothing! I am more hurt than angry. We've talked about this kind of stuff before (like how she never calls me when she's up here for a weekend). She always apologizes but then repeats the same stuff a few months later.
I was going to send her an email that said....
Subject: At least I know my wedding weekend....
Email text: ....you'll actually call me and see me when u r in NY.
Is that too horrible? Even if it is, should I care? I am so annoyed!
Any thoughts?

Re: BM Issue
When it comes to issues like this, I think calling is better than e-mail. When things are in writing, they can misconstrued or come back to haunt you later.
Call her and tell her how you feel. Plus, tell her now if you don't want her in the bridal party anymore because of her flaky behavior.

Re: BM Issue
Wow - I would be REALLY hurt also! I am not so sure you should send the text message but I DO think you need to have a talk with her. Have you spoken to other members of the BP? Did they tell you that they had a really hard time working w/ her in planning your shower since she didn't contribute anything, etc.? Maybe you need to tell her that she isn't putting in any effort at all and if she doesn't want to be a part of your wedding, all she has to do is say so. I'm so sorry you're going thru this!!!

Re: BM Issue
I would call her and talk with her about it. Tell her how ur feeling and let her know that an apology is not enough anymore. Actions speak louder than words. HTH

Re: BM Issue
I would call her and tell her the truth about how you feel. Since this is not the first time I highly doubt that she will change.

Re: BM Issue
This would upset me as well, naturally she is a BM because she is someone special in your life and wanted to be able to share your day, and for her to not even acknowledge your shower, send you something or even call you bothers me. I would def. pick up the phone and speak with her and tell her that you are upset, not sure if it will help since you said this has happened before in certain situations. But if you don't say anything it will just weigh on you so get it off your chest.
