i was talking to my fsil(bm) and she was like 'what are you doing for jewelry? are you gonna get the bm jewelry or have everyone do their own thing?' it made me think..that may be a good idea..because then i have more money to spend on them what i think they would like rather than get them jewlry they wont wear again...what do you girls think..did anyone not get jewlry for their bm??

I am getting the jewelry for them. I got them at Macy's and got them on sale too. I also did this because I would like everyone to wear the same jewelry.
ETA>> The jewelry that I got them, they can use it again.

I don't think that I am going to get them jewlery for the day of b/c they are never going to wear it again and honestly I would rather spend the money on them and get them things that they will use again. Then again I haven't decided yet what to get them

I decided not get them jewelry for two reasons:
They do not all have the same taste so getting them the same necklace is not really a good 'gift' in my opinion
I am not a big fan of the cookie cutter bridemaids. They will be in the same dress and that is enough for me. I told them I want them to wear their hair the way THEY like to and same for jewelry. I want them to each feel like they look their best, b/c that is what makes them actually look their best.
But the is JMO.

thank you ALL..but i def agree with this..that is why i posted the question..i wasnt sure what the right thing to do is..im not a jewelry person so i dont think its a good gift...

I'm getting them all really simple Tiffany & Co bracelets - they can either wear it the day of (which won't match b/c they have gold accents and not silver)...or afterwards. I'm giving my BM's personalized bags with a whole load of stuff in it - Gift Certificates, make-up, shirts, slippers, etc...

I received the UGLIEST necklace when I was in my uncle's wedding... definately will NEVER wear it again!! However, for my wedding I will be getting jewelry that I know my BMs will wear again, otherwise I wouldnt get it for them...

I really want to buy them jewlery as their gift - i picked the color they are picking the tops that they want, the mix and match seperates, so I was going to buy them custom made necklaces to compliment their personal style and tops they chose!!
