BM Question

BM Question

Ok heres the story, since I was in kindergarten I became really really close to my best friend, who was a year older than I, and we were inseperable until she went to her junior high and I went to another. We lost some contact and after she came to my sweet 16 (which was 6 years), we definitely lost contact. I didnt see or speak to her or hear from here since my party. Well now a couple of months ago, my mother ran into her and she gave my mother her number and we began talking again, little by little. She recently moved to Georgia and we still talk here and there.

Now my question is, should I put her as one of my bridesmaids?? Honestly I really dont have many close girlfriends, I do have HS friends that I still talk to but rarely. I guess I spend too much time with FH to be socializing. But I am really confused. Or should I just wait to see what happens?

Re: BM Question

I think that if she means something to you then go for it...being in Georgia might make things tricky though... but don't feel like you need to have a certain number of BM's.....FH wants way more guys up there then my girls... you can always have the girls walk with 2 guys....

Hmmm.. that's a tough situation. I was best friends with a girl since we were babies, literally, and we lost touch after a stupid fight freshman year of college. We didn't speak for a few years and made up recently. We don't talk that much and it's not like it used to be, so I decided to invite her to my wedding but not to be in the bridal party. I think it would have been weird if she was, even though she is friends with the rest of my BP.

I felt really guilty at first because we're getting married on her birthday but we were really constrained with respect to dates and she's OK with it. She's going to come to the wedding

It's really your choice -- if you want her as a BM then ask her! if you want to just invite her as a guest, go ahead. If you don't want to invite her that's cool too. Just do what will make you happy

I agree that you should wait until closer to the wedding to pick your final choices. a lot can happen!

Re: BM Question

it really still early to figure that out... give it some time.. cuz you never know you might never talk to her again.. or you might end up being best friends again....

Re: BM Question

I would wait until next year and see how the relationship goes. If it continues to grow i would put her in.
