My FBIL has been dating his gf for way longer than FH and I (close to 6 years). They are talking marriage, so more likely than not (and i cant see why not) she will probably be my FSIL.
I was planning on having her as a reader, but the more I think about it, i am wondering if i should ask her to be a BM.
She is a nice girl and I like her. We dont hang out often, just because there is no real time. But she comes over for holidays at FHs house the same as i do....
So, what do you think? We are no longer having even numbers for girls and guys, so adding another girl now is not really a big deal (before we were tryin to keep the numbers even so that was a big factor)
Oh, and FBIL is best man (not sure if that makes a difference or not, lol)

Re: BM question...NEED ADVICE!
honestly, i think if you really want her to be part of your wedding then add her...but don't just add her bc she might be your FSIL. You aren't obligated to have her or anything. Just do it if you really want her to be there for you on your special day.

Re: BM question...NEED ADVICE!
well she will be included regardless because she will either by BM or reader. but im just wondering what to do...
my friend just went to a wedding for her fsil and she was not a BM, meanwhile she was involved in all the planning and activities so she kind of felt slighted. i dont want to do the wrong thing either...
ETA - FH's sister is a BM.

Re: BM question...NEED ADVICE!
i think its a great idea if she is nice and appreciative..
fbil 'ex' girlfriend is a miserab;e wenchy h0e and if they are together again by the time of my wedding i would much rather each razor blades and poo them out whole then have her at my wedding.... but the way my life rolls is that she will probably catch the bouqet at the recption

ITA, if she will most likely be you FSIL, then she will really appreciate the gesture.

ITA... i am a BM in my brother's wedding and i kinda feel like FSIL just asked me because im the sister. which i kinda understand. but i have nothing in common with her. so tomorrow's the shower and its kinda weird since i dont talk to any of the other BMs cuz theyre bishes. back to you, she will definitely appreciate the gesture, but dont do it just cuz you feel its the right thing to do.
Edited cuz im drinkin wine

I think it's a good idea, but go with your gut! If you want her, I see no reason why not.

for some reason I don't think you would rather do that you'd probably regret it at the time
