Aww sorry you are going through that. With 8 BM;s at least you one have on BM-zilla. You really are doing a lot more than what I would do. So take a deep breath and just ignore her childish behavior.
Has she always been like this?

Re: BM RANT (Warning: Long)
It sounds like she is a bit jealous and is 'acting up' to get some attention. I saw the dress you chose and I thought it was beautiful. 210 is not alot for a BM dress and you went above and beyond your call of duty to help her out and offer suggestions. Honestly, this is a time where you evaulate relationships/friendships and you see the true colors of people. I had one of my BM say some really crappy things to me when we got engaged and started to plan the wedding. I chose to confront her and she's been on best behavior ever since. Perhaps you should say something like 'i've noticed you've been irritated by this process. Can you let me know what it stems from because I really don't know what i could have done to set you off.' HTH!!!

You are doing much more than you have to for her.
She seems like a person that will NEVER be happy..so if I were you..I would stop trying!

I think you are right, maybe, about the 'jealous' part...she is the type of person who wanted to be married and pregnant by 22 and it just didn't happen that way. Most of her friends are in serious relationships and she isn't. Meanwhile, in my circle I'm the first one getting married and most of my friends are single and enjoying their 20s!
Also, she was recently diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, which turns out to have caused her some serious weight gain. I think she is also not thrilled about getting dressed up because of that. In this regard, I am considering calling Priscilla of Boston tomorrow - one of the women there seriously made 'BM-zilla''s week. She refused to try on the sample (which was a 12 and would have been to small). Then when the women measured her, she pointed out that my BM has a perfect hourglass figure, and that maybe even if a little heavy now, she has perfect proportions. She even convinced my BM to try the sample on, and when my BM had to order an 18, the women kept saying 'I know this isn't your size, but we have to accomodate for your big chest! It must be so nice being so well endowed!' Then when my BM pulled out her driver license to accompany her personal check, the women said what a great DL picture it was. She really made my BM feel so good about herself at this difficult time, and you could tell she was going above and beyond to make her feel good.
Don't let her put a damper on the happiest time of your life. It's only one time that you get to plan a wedding. Take her for what she is and try your best to ignore it. I did that with my overbearing friend and I just accept her for being the busy body that she is and concentrate on what's most important to me which is getting married to the love of my life!!! So glad to hear POB is great. I'm going on Saturday to try on dresses for the first time!!

Honestly, I cannot even believe how AWESOME POB is. Even if you don't find 'the dress' you will love it there. See if you can get your appointment with Kathy Aleksa - she is phenomenal. I wish I knew the other woman's name from today - she's not my usual consultant. I have honestly harrassed those women 4,000 times and they are happy and attentive EVERY time.
Kathy treated me phenomenally when I tried on wedding gowns. And, since I bought my dress in there, I get 10% off my veil, shoes, and any other accessories. And, my BMs got 15% off their dresses. On top of that, Kathy is working extra hard with my 11 year old cousin, who will be 12 at the wedding, to figure out exactly what we should do for her since she will likely go thru puberty in the coming year and this will greatly affect what dress she gets. She even sat on the phone with my aunt today and figured out an alterations schedule around my little cousin's summer 2008 sleep away camp schedule!
The customer service there is unbeatable!
