BM Shoe Advice

Hi Ladies -

My BM paid for their dresses and the cost was only 129. I am trying not to break their pockets with the shoes. Because the dress is mermaid you can see their feet and I wanted everyone to have the same sandal. How much do you think is a reasonable price for their shoes? I am trying to find a nice silver sandal or peek-a-boo toe. Thanks!!

I think you should be able to find something reasonable for under $50. I, personally, wouldn't spend more than that on shoes, especially if I wasn't sure I'd wear them again.

I'm in the same boat. My dresses were more than yours $175 and they are tea length so the shoes will be seen. I am not sure whether or not to go with dyeables or silver. but if you go with silver im sure you can come across a good sale....try looking online at macys to get an idea or zappos.com-i ordered my shoes from there...they are great!

I wouldn't ask them to spend more than $50. You should be able to find something really nice for at most that much.

I woud say yes because you can see their shoes and I don';t want people coming with different shades of siler. This is the dress.....

I would think you should go with the girls because what might be comfortable on one person may not be on the other- maybe have them try on what they like-and then go from there-you can narrow it down by comfort and price

my bridesmaids wore a tea-lenth dress and had silver shoes as well. they each picked whatever style they wanted as long as it was a sandal.

It looked fine and no one noticed they were different.

I think silver shoes are a great idea -- since they can use them again to go in instead of wearing them just once. I have a few friends doing this for their weddings and they found some great silver strappy sandals. Check out DSW too!! The one in Westbury has such a big selection.

I loooooooooove that dress. I wound up going with something floor length, but I loved that dress in pictures. I never did see it in the stores for the girls to try on, though...

Thanks Ladie for your help -

It looks like (after talking to 3 of my BM) that I am going to pick 3 similar sandals I like and have them get their own. I think a similar silver sandal will work - You are right - who is really going to be starting at their feet?
