Will you be having your BM shoes dyed to match the dresses or are you having them wear shoes that are a different color then the dress?

Re: BM shoes...dying vs not dying
Belive it or not I was looking at pictures in Modern Bride of some red bM dresses and only found 1 pic that had the BM wearing dyed shoes (which looked real pretty). The other pics had gold shoes (strappy open toe) which really looked nice. My dresses will be periwinkle and I have no idea. My mom thinks that the shoes should be dyed to match, but I don't know if silver or while would look better.

Hopefully, I will find shoes that we don't have to dye! I'm not a huge fan of dyables!

Since I'm thinking of getting tea-lenght dresses I'm just going to ask the girls to wear silver strappy sandals. I don't care that they all won't be exactly the same and I love silver strappy sandals!

Dye to match closed toe shoes - winter wedding - no open toe. Afterwards, they can always dye the shoes to BLACK which is what I have done a gazillion times and also what I plan on doing with my wedding shoes. You can never have too many pairs of black shoes.

I think for a short BM dress, it is nice to have a contrast between the dress and shoes. I always liked silver and/or gold shoes with short dresses.

They are also choosing whatever shoe they want. Flat, heel, platform, I dont care as long as the toe is closed.

I think that silver or gold shoes are a little more trendy than the dyeables but that is JMO. I do think that silver shoes would look nice with a periwinkle dress.

Re: BM shoes...dying vs not dying
I told them all to get silver strappy shoes, my dresses are a deep red, and since they're floor length, who is really going to be paying attention to their feet??
Ha I still have 2 pairs of dyes shoes I've worn as a BM. Maybe I should dye them both black!!

I don't like dyed to match shoes. I think Silver shoes would go perfect with Periwinkle dresses.
If you want the dyed shoes, of course I would get them.

That's exactly what I'm thinking - whatever silver strappy sandals they want to wear and will be comfortable in.

I'm really not sure yet. We'll see - I'm open to either at this point.

Re: BM shoes...dying vs not dying
My girls are wearing floor length dresses, and in my opinon, no one EVER notices the shoes. I'm telling them to wear whatever they want. Summer wedding, something sandalish would be just fine.
