As I posted last night, I went to the Commack Wedding Center last night to shop for BM dresses. I found the dress that all the girls liked (or so I thought!!!!) and two out of the three girls paid for their dress. The one person who I thought I would not have a problem with was such a PITA...my MOH. She is being very difficult and while she initially said she liked the dress, after she saw it on the other girls decided she didn't like it. I decided to go with a rainbow of purple shades and she would be in the Jordan Chiffon Victorian Color. The wedding center did not have any dresses in the victorian color and MOH didn't want to order the dress without seeing herself in the color. So I agreed to go to another store with her and she could try it on elsewhere. Now today she confesses that she didn't like how she looked in the dress in COMPARISON to the other girls (ridiculous...she's a size 8). She apparently wants to STAND out and be COMPLETELY different. Now I have two BMs in two different colors who have paid for their dresses and I have a MOH who don't want the dress at all and doesn't even want a purple tone. Now what am I going to do? I can't have everyone in different colors AND different dresses. Do I DEMAND that MOH get the dress everyone else is wearing? Will it look stupid if she gets a different neutral toned chiffon dress from a different manufacturer? Oh...and I also decided that Jr. BM is going to wear a very plain chiffon dress b/c the dress I picked for the BMs is a little mature looking even though it does come in a Jr. BM size. HEEELPPPP!

i think the only person who should be standing out is YOU!! whatever you choose will look great im sure, even if its a different dress....but i really think that your moh should think it over

my MOH was in a different color than my BM...I picked one color and all the BM picked their own style (Periwinkle) and my MOH was in Victorian lilac.
She can stand out with different flowers or a different color or different style....it's YOUR wedding and she should be wearing what YOU pick out

as nice and accomodating as you were, caring that everyone liked it, shes telling YOU what she wants to wear....honey its your wedding, if she doesnt like it, tell her she can get bumped down to a regular bm and then she wont have to stand out

Thank you all...the one time I had something to say I was accused of being a bridezilla and I was trying to avoid that 'label'. So I should not care what she wants and just tell her she's wearing what I want her to wear and that's that? It doesn't sound too bitchy...even though it IS MY WEDDING DARN IT!!!!!!!!!!????

I agree the only person who should be concerned about standing out is you. She could be a little more selfless for your wedding IMO.
