ok, so a few weeks ago I posted about my BM that had borrowed money from me and couldnt give it back yet bc she had just bought a house. You all advised me to be nice and just let her know its ok and she can give it to me whenever...She said she'd give it back to me for sure when she got her tax return.
UPDATE: In the last few weeks she has bought a dog, bought pearl jam tickets, taylor swift tickets and now shes spending the weekend in Hershey Park.
I'm so mad...Give me my damn $50!! How do you have money for ALL THESE THINGS and not be able to 1) order your dress bc you have no money 2) give me the $50 you borrowed for the dress deposit.
Am I begin ridiculous???

sounds like she's jus trying to make you pay for her dress and doesn't feel its necessary for her to do so. I would flip out

no you're not being ridiculous at all! i would text her and say you need the money and if she gives you a hard time, tell her that she should have worried about paying you back before buying all those things and you can't give her anymore time bc your strapped for the money yourself

I lost a friend of 13yrs over $50, it's not the amount of money it's the principle. However, If you told her she can give it to you whenever, she prob doesnt feel like she has to give it to you right away. Most likely she doesnt even know that it's bothering you. If it's making you that upset maybe you should ask her for it plain out.

I would just be up front with her and tell her you need the money _____ (within a week, within the next 5 days, etc). My ex best friend borrowed $ from me to come on a trip to Vegas and I did the whole 'pay me back when you have it' thing. A week turned into a month and that turned into never getting my money back. In the meantime, she bought herself a fancy new cell phone, a new computer, etc. I became so bitter about it that we stopped being friends. Dont let this happen.

Not being ridiculous at all. I would bring it up casually - 'Hey, can you have that $ for me by the end of the week? I need it for (X wedding related thing).'

Re: BM vent! (AGAIN!!)
that's so freaking rude! I almost lost a friend over $. She lived with me and honestly was always crying poverty about paying the rent. meanwhile she'd come home w a new tattoo, new stupid decorations for the house, new clothes and Id be paying for her to live in 3 rooms while I had one. I threw her out. We're cool now. It's taken years though. i still don't really respect her though.

I didnt care about the money either, after all I've given her more than that over the years and I never recieved it or even asked for it back, it really just comes down to principle.
