BM Vent (long-sorry)
Sorry it's so long..just have to get this out there somewhere so I don't end up killing her...
---
One of my bm is a cousin who was close with me growing up. She is 1 year younger than me and we've been inseperable since we were little. Recently though, she's been distant, especially during all of this planning. My sis (MOH) has been complaining that the BM hasn't done anything to help with the shower or b-ette party.
On Saturday, my sis sent out an email to all of the girls letting them know about the rehearsal and the dinner. The BM writes back that she won't be able to leave work early and she might not be able to come help set things up. She said she would *try* to make the rehearsal dinner and still hasn't said if she will be there definitely or not. She also claimed she didn't know how to get to the church (even though she's been there before and the MOH's email had specific directions on which subway lines to take and how to walk there).
Normally I wouldn't be so upset, but I had sent an email in the FALL telling everyone that the rehearsal would be on a Friday afternoon and they would have to take a 1/2 day from work to help out. I have the Best Man and another bridesmaid flying in from out of town to make it here for the rehearsal. 2 of the GM are taking the whole day off so they can come to it.
This is also the same BM who complained in the beginning about walking down the aisle with FH's brother (who is married) during the processional because her bf might not like it. BTW, her bf, who she's been dating for 6 years now, has decided he will NOT attend our church ceremony because a 1 pm ceremony is too early for him to get up for. He also didn't bother to RSVP and instead needed me to call 2 weeks after the RSVP date to ask him whether or not he can make it---to which he replied, I don't know!
I'm so mad right now I'm tempted to either 1)ask her to not bother and tell her I don't want her as a BM anymore or 2)get gifts for the other girls to thank them for everything they've done but not get anything for her.
ARGH!!! Ok. Phew. Thanks for letting me vent.
