BM vs GM

BM vs GM

Is it fair that BM have to spend so much more than the GM? They have to buy the dress, hair, makeup, accessories, shower, bach party, shower gifts, etc. All the GM have to do is rent a tux and pay for a stripper. How is this fair??

They also pay for the honey and showers.

they do get to keep the dresses, assuming they like them.... i also got my BMs nicer gifts (they also helped me with planning while the GM just showed up)

Yeah I definitely got my girls nicer gifts than the guys got.

Ditto, i left the GM gifts up to DH and he waited until the last minute to pick things for them. The BM's gifts i was preparing for a while.

i think our gm spent alot on the bp, well more like while at the bp. But its also their fault bc they HAD to get a table at the clubs, and go to certain restaurants. So it wasnt anything we asked them to spend on. And DH contributed towards suite and even when they went out.

but overall it does s*ck, for a guy its alot easier

You don't have to make your bm's get their hair and make-up done. All of mine did their own. I also told them to wear their own silver shoes or buy a pair that they can wear again, and they all also wore their own jewelery. The only thing they really had to pay for was the dress and shower gift.

I agree it does kind of su-ck but I also spent more on my BMs gifts than the GMs. I guess it just is an unfortuante reality.

i think my GM spent $$$$$. They all took DH away to Miami and paid for everything. There tuxes were more expensive than my dresses were.The guys also rented a limo for Fh the day of the wedding. The single groomsmen gave us no less than 300 and the BM that were single on average gave 150. So I think im my BP it was very even of the guys possibly spent more.

even if you dont ask many times they still will. I told my girls that i dont care how they do their hair or make up and there was no obligation to get it professionaly done. But most of them still did, not all though. Also for my friends wedding recently i was a bm and she also said the same thing but i still went and got it professionaly done.
