I have to say when calling RHs it is funny how the BMs talk to you and the things they say. Some are real nice and totally help you others are like oh well we can't do that and if other RHs do it you should watch out, oh we can't tell you that over the phone YOU have to make an appointment. Like its something top secret! Well anyway.........I am all BM talkied out for the day. Start again tomorrow.

Well I work at a RH doing weddings and parties, and now that I was helping my sister do the calls I cannot believe the rude tones I get like they are doing me a favor. I answer Inquiry calls for future bookings and I am always nice and answer all questions. Why does someone need an appointment to find out the price per person. I would rather know before I wasted time.

That is the one thing that annoys me the most about RH's. I had bought the wedding site and services book before I went to the Rh's. They quote the prices which is good so that you can get an idea on the pricing. Why when you go to the RH and quote the price to them they look at you as if you have 10 heads. Their answer is, 'Oh that's an old quote' But the book is new. Sounds like false advertisement to me.
Most caterers you don't need an appt. I just so happen to be in the area of a particular caterer and decided to check them out. Mind you they were not busy showing the place because it was during the week and the reception confirm it. The BM told me to make an appt and for me to call them to confirm. I NEVER MADE AN APPT NOR CONFIRM. I thought it;s the other way around.

With me is that as Im planning a small wedding (50 guests) the first thing I ask is for the minimun and one BM told that although they take wedding for sunday staring at 50 guests if someone else come with a bigger wedding they will give them preference.

In other words MY wedding will be their last resource for that !!!! I was like so maddd is like if you don't want a small wedding taking place there just tell me from the bigining I will understand and don't waist my time.

Well, look at it from a biz perspective.... they wont tell you 'no' b/c they want to make sure they have a backup if he doesnt not get a bigger sized wedding for that day.... Of course they arent going to tell you right off the bat... Sure it stinks, everyones out for the $$$$
