We finally picked out the BM's dresses. We decided on raspberry (I wanted something pink but still fall like). I have the swatch but when I looked at the picture on the internet it is alot darker than I remember, also I think it's way too purple. Now I know it could just be the picture on the internet, but then I worry that my pictures are going to look like that.
I couldn't figure out how to post the pictures, but they are in my album.
The other one is Fuchsia (which I think looks nice, but I think when we were looking at swatches we thought is was too bright, not sure though)
How do you pick a color from a tiny 2 inch square of material?

They are both beautiful colors. In order to pick a color from such a tiny swatch you really have to use your imagination. Good luck!

The darker color looks better. Does the shop have a dress in the same color and fabric that you can look at ? Much easier than the swatch. Don't go by what the internet shows. The color is just an approximation.

The colors of the two dresses look very similar - I can't see how they are all that different from each other. Both of the colors are nice and they don't look purplish... would your maid of honor want to wear the slightly different color? Then you can have both :)

they are both pretty but I like the darker one better. I wouldn't go by the color on the internet, it's usually different than in person

Internet colors differ from computer to computer based on the calibration of the screens. Don't stress about what you see online. Call around and see if any store stocks any style of dress in the raspberry so you can see it in person and take a sample pic to check the color if you are that worried.

Did you go to a store with many dresses by the same designer? Usually they have samples in all different colors. This way, even if you can't see your dress in that color, you can see a dress by the same deisgner, in the same material in that color. That's how I chose my color.
I also agree that the colors on the internet can look different than in person. Go with the color on the swatch!

Thanks for your responses. I did see another dress in the color but it was a different material (I guess I should have never looked at the internet picture). I'm going to back and look again.
I don't really mind that it's dark, but I wanted it to look more on the pink side and I feel like it is more like purple. (I didn't want purple)

Did you take a look at both colors in person bec sometime colors on the comp may look 10x better than the real color the dress actually is in person

I like the darker color!
I'm using Euro Fuchsia (Bill Levkoff) and it's a darker fuchsia. I picked up 2 of my out of town BM's dresses last week and I LOVE THE COLOR! It's almost a combo of a wine and pink mixture.

I love the darker one! It does look a bit purple to me, but I think its REALLY pretty, especially for a fall wedding ..and I'm definitely NOT a purple person.

This is exactly what I have done too - I look for any dress by the same designer, same fabric and same color and had the BM try it on to see which color is better.

I would pick the darker one. If you can look at the colors in person again you should, but a very bright color may look toover the top if you want a subtle color splash

Fara, The dress is beautiful. It's from Jordan. I think the rasberry is beautiful for the autumn. I don't think looks purple. I think it has a rasberry/cranberry look to it which is nice for that time of year. The fuchsia is a bit bright like you said. I love the rasberry. It really nice. Remember that it is your choice. My BM dresses are Jordan's Courture Collection. Diamond White top and Burnt Orange skirt. It is a dress but looks like a two piece. Jr Bridesmaids and Flower Girls are wearing burnt orange. I love the style of Jordan's Dresses.
