i told them the option is there if they want if and i told them the prices.

5-6 girls are getting hair
2-3 are getting makeup

im not a fan of giving that as their gift.
id rather give them something physical.

Same with me, I told them if they want to have it done, go for it and here are the prices....if not, no biggie.

same thing w/ me well once i find my hair and make-up girls i told my girls if they want to get there hair and make-up done its up to them but they will have to pay.

two of my three bridesmaids are still in grad school, and definitely can not cover this expense, so i'm going to pay for them. while the third is working and able to pay, i can't pay for two and not the third. it's easiest just to pay for all of them.

i havent decided yet whether they should all go get it done, but they will be paying. i'll probably pay for my sister's though.

i do want them all to get their hair done

I'm offering to pay for one or the other since I need 3 girls each and the mothers are insisting on doing their own.

as a bridesmaid before, i actually rather do my own makeup.

i've had some not so good experiences and IMO, I don't really think they need it. they are gorgeous and i don't want to add that expense to their day.

selfishly, i really want to be the one looking glam...

It is up to them if they want to get it done. But I am not giving it to them as a gift. I would rather actually hand them something

They are paying their own way for hair and makeup, if they want it (all but one does). I am taking care of the tips.

It's completely up to them. Those who want to pay to have it professionally done are doing so, and those who would prefer to do it themselves are doing that. I'm fine with it either way!!

i don't think it's fair to make them pay for makeup, so i won't require it. they can get it done if they want, but they will pay for it.

they will have the option.

i gave them prices and if they want hair and makeup done they can surely get it but i cant afford to pay for that too...

i am not requiring it though

my girls all want hair done and so far MOH wants makeup too

My hair/make up person is an invited guest to my wedding though she doesn't know it yet. She is charging a minimal amount for both services for ME. As for my BM's, her charge is minimal too. I would like to offer to pay for it but I know my friends are particular about who touches their faces. They would also have to go to make up trials and I can't ask them to do that after buying dresses and shoes and paying for a shower. I can't also be handing them money to do make up trials all over LI til they find what they like. So if they want to take their chances and use my stylist/MU artist, then sure, I'll help them out and pay, but if not, they are on their own. I can't be generous to a fault. There is a wedding to pay for here.

I have a make-up/hair person coming to my house day of, and I'm giving all my girls the option. If they choose to get it done, they will be paying themselves.
I wanted to give them physical gifts as well.
