BMs Question...

BMs Question...

Ok, so a while back I had posted about one of my BMs saying that she think shes needs to 'bow down from my wedding' due to whatever reasons. I was hurt by it, but what can you do? I'm not asking for alot, after planning for well over a year. Anywhos, between this week and the next all my girls will be getting sized for their dresses. I sent out a mass email to them and got responces from all, except the one that said she was 'thinking' of backing out. Three went this weekend, and the balance are prolly going next weekend. Should I send only her an email..? I don't know. Or, just assume that she totally backed out..?? Calling her is out of the option b/c I know she'll just bull**** me... any suggestions??

Text her & let her know that u need to know if she has decided she cant be a part of your BP. Let her know its totally fine but that you need to know for dress purposes. That way if she feels like its ok with you if she does back out you will at least get a real answer.

She's the only person I know that doesn't have text on her phone... lol. Otherwise I would have done that right off the bat. HA
Thanks though. :)

Re: BMs Question...

I'm going through a similar situation - one of my BM isn't sure if she can be in the wedding - but she is being wishy washy about telling any information - it's like pulling teeth getting info out of her. I'm at a point where I'm just asking her flat out what are you doing b/c my dresses need to be ordered by Oct 1.

So I would just send her an email or text asking her what she's doing b/c the dresses need to be ordered.

I think you should email her sometimes it's easier for people to say certain things in an email so that way you can be totally honest with her and she can be totally honest with you. I think if she is just going to BS you on the phone the email is def the best way to go.

Then just call her or email her & if she doesnt answer either way , i would assume she backed out.

I just find it rude...
We were friends since 6th grade...
I was in her wedding, and only had 3 months to prepare for it...
It'll just really show how much she really cares... OY

Re: BMs Question...

Well, do you really want her in your wedding? I mean people should be psyched and honored to be asked, not like you have to chase them down. But if it is important and she's just reluctant go ahead and email her again and tell her you need to know by a certain day and explain that her not getting back to you hurts you and why.. .

Re: BMs Question...

one of my first cousins, who lives out of state, just had a baby and money is really tight for them right now so she said that she couldnt be in our bridal party ... im glad that she told me now so that we can figure out what we want to do ... but it would be really annoying if she just left me hanging ... i would call the girl and if she tried to bs me i would just tell her that we are getting fitted this week so in the words of heidi klum 'your either in or out' you know ... dont let her make your life stressful ... its not worth it.

Yes, definitely contact her directly - email or via phone. Even if you're not fine with her not being a BM, act like you'd be ok with it if she felt she couldn't do it - maybe then you'll get a real answer out of her. It's a real PITA if you'd have to find someone new, but at least she wouldn't still be stringing you along. Good luck!

Re: BMs Question...

Thanks ladies for all your help. I eneded up writing her another email, straight to the point, and still have not heard back. She may not have gone on the computer so no biggie. I won't be finding someone else to fill her shoes... I have a large enough BP as is... soo...i gifts I got for her I'll keep for ME! haha. I woulnd't mind a swovorski necklace and some bath fizz and some stuff from bath and body works HAHA
Just gotta look on the brighter side of things...
