do most brides do this? i'm pretty sure that you only have a certain amount of time to get this done... and i only have one day in between my wedding and leaving for my honeymoon, so i want to figure out what i'm doing. what did you ladies do, or what are you doing? i have no idea where to go or where to look or where to begin, lol i do remember a bride posting a few months back, and she got her bo-k preserved in or a replica made in some kind of shadow box type thing. it was gorgeous. can you ladies post pics, of something like that? i'd also appreciate any advice or ideas you have. TIA

Re: bo-k preservation???
I would have loved to have done this, but didn't have the time. But, some brides have posted on here about sending their bouquets away and having them preserved beautifully in shadowboxes, I believe.
Bump for those ladies!

Re: bo-k preservation???
I'm drying my out in a closet, then I plan to box it in my wedding box filled with my invite, garter, etc. I didn't want to spend the nearly $200 preserving it professionally.
FM SummerBride06 or GlindaGoodwitch as both of them preserved their boquets and can shed light on them.

Ask your florist about preserving your bok. I know mine does it, but not sure how much it will cost just yet.

Re: bo-k preservation???
I had mine done at Keepsake Floral - they're a vendor on here.
I know Beth (glinda_goodwitch) and Michele (leighdvm) both had their BoKs preserved and they came out beautifully!!!!! FM them for more info.
Right now mine is still sitting in my refridegerator bc I didn't think of this before the wedding. Now it's too late to have it preserved but I'd like to maybe have the flowers pressed into a shadow box.

I didn't know I wanted my bouquet preserved until the day of the wedding - when I saw it and fell head over heels in love with it. I looked into Keepsake Floral beforehand and saw that there really is no need to book them before. I knew I had that option. I would of hated to put a deposit down and see my bouquet and not really care about it. It's very easy to do...We sent it out two days after our wedding.

Re: bo-k preservation???
i used keepsake floral.
i love my final result but am VERY dissatisfied with the process--especially how much it wound up costing! i thought it would be around $350 but it turned out to be $650!!!
i was very upset when i talked to the woman on the phone as there are charges that i didn't realize--such as $80 (i think) for shipping, $5 for each stephanotis (since they don't survive shipping), $25 (i think) for it to look like my bok--why is that extra?????
needless to say, i would never use them again. i do love my flowers, but i would use a different company.

Re: bo-k preservation???
I used keepsake floral, and LOVE it! It was $$$$$ though, as Summerbride06 posted. But whatever company you want to use, its no problem since you are getting married on a Sunday. You can send it out the next day. I don't know about other companies, but with keepsake floral, they send you a kit for you to send your bo-k in, if you contact them before your wedding. So I would look into this soon. Here's my shadow box bo-k (just because I haven't hung it up yet and this is the only way I get to show it off!)
