Sry, but I need to vent! The last thing I had to do for my certification was get fingerprinted so I went n did that and they fcukin rejected my prints due to poor image quality so they say... I am fuminggggg... If I have to pay another $100 for them to review another set of prints, I'm gonna say fcuk it and head off in another direction for a career... This whole process through the board of ed has caused me nothing but frustration!!!!!!!
ETA: It didnt cost me anything to physically get them done, but had to pay the 'dept of ed' money for them to review the prints and all that... BLAHHH... I'm now stalking the mailman for this rejection letter

Actually now it's Department of Education but that's a whole other vent!
You shouldn't have to pay to submit prints again though - I think the first time fee is just for processing and all that.

and then you have to pay for each test too.. its out of control. and with the school budget cuts that nys is doing they are offering less inservice credits for teachers. it can go on and on.. but are we the ones flying our jets to dc to ask for money? dont give up.. teaching is too much fun. it will work out.

well first you go onto that teach website... apply to have your fingerprints done and pay the fee... then you request to have the ink cards mailed to u since those dumbasses cant even automatically send em once you apply... its retarded... anyways, i got my prints done at customs cuz my mom works there, but i think you can just go to a precint and get them done... since apparently the image quality was bad on mine, im gonna see if i can get them done digitally... its called livescan i believe... i asked nassau boces if they could accomodate me and they never got back to me...

its actually not for teaching but for school psych... which sux even more since those positions are rare... i went into the wronggggg field hahaa

That is only a taste of the garbage you are going to have to deal with in the field of education.... sometimes I wonder if I picked the wrong career.... I get paid little money compared to the amount of work I have to do... but on the other hand I love it, and didnt go into teaching for the money.... but there is a lot of BS in the school system.... get ready!!! Oh and you should hopefully be picked up quickly in the city...
