We are trying to figure out what to do with our doggie for our wedding. Since all of our families will be with us, there will be no one to look after our baby. Do you guys know of any places on LI that really take care of your doggies overnight?

The pet place to board is at your vet. Im a dog groomer, and that what I tell everyone. Thats what im doing with my little guy for the wedding.

But when I think of a vet, I think of my baby being caged up all day/night long. I want him to run around with the other dogs. At the vet, what do they provide the dogs? I really dont know.

Omg I just looked at their website and it looks great. They even read bedtime stories to the dogs? lol Wow impressive! Have you ever left your dog there before?

Re: Boarding Dog
I only know of places in the city or queens..
But Rainbow Pet Supply in Woodside does grooming and boarding. The groomer/co-owner lives in our building and he is great with animals. I haven't checked them out for boarding, but my dogs (one who hates getting groomed) always comes back happy. Again, it doesn't have a huge yard or other perks of a LI location.
Also Biscuits and Bath... I just love them overall...

Re: Boarding Dog
I've never left my dog at 'Best in Show' yet, but I have been there often for my dogs play group and I can see the dogs that stay there are very well cared for and the rooms and cages are very spacious and comfortable.
And most of all, it looked clean!

MIL has left her dog there and everything was great. She took one of the suites. You can call them and they'll bring you on a tour and tell you all about the place. They're pricey for me because I have two dogs, but definitely worth checking out
