I've never been but I've heard nothing but great things, maybe some of us queens people can car pool, it wouldn't be too bad.

I never even heard of it until I came on this board, what goes on at the boardy barn?
well boardy barn is only open on sundays from 4-8 except for holiday weekends and its 11-8...thing about it is the line gets HUGE...you can get there early and wait until it opens which you wait long regardless...or get there later but u still have to wait...my best experience with the line was going on labor day weekend, the line after the place opens takes about 2 hours for it to finally clear...so since it opened at 11am on labor day we got there at 1:30 and walked right in.
Beer is $1, so usually when you go up there you get a bunch of beers at once so you dont have to wait online that long...They play alot of old skool rock like bon jovi, guns n roses for example...Everyone is hanging out getting way beyond trashed, there are some sections to dance...but most people hang out in big groups. Its fun though, very relaxed, you never get dressed up bc it can get dirty in there lol so very casual wear lol

nicks all weird about it also but if i asked him to go he would.. specially some of the guys are cops so itll give them something to talk about!

Yeah FH is weird about it too but hes also the type anyone he is around he becomes a chatterbox lol.
Another problem with me is Fh always has softball on sundays...thats also why last year we never found a time to go to Boardy barn, we thought 4th of july we'd finally be able to go but no of course there had to be a game that day. I love boardy barn and hopefully this year we can FINALLY be able to go at least once...with his sports schedule its hard

Wow, there was a place like that in London - it was called 'the Church.' As a joke, because it too was only open sunday mornings. I only went once, and it was WILD. So dirty and crazy and everyone was so drunk and having the best time... I had no idea there was a 'church' in L.I. Awesome.

yeah thats how it is, dirty crazy and lots of drunkness lol...well this is also outside, one section is completely outside, another part is tented and then theres an inside part. I think it used to actually be a barn lol

its a great time!!!! they have hotdogs and pizza there too...Alot of people wear shirts with sayings on them and people even do their own shirts with boardy barn sayings or something...By the middle of the night you are covered in smiley face stickers lol

A little FYI for you gals about the BB... considering it's only open for 3 months, 1 day a week for only 4 hours... it's the bigges distributor of beer on LI... how do I know this? Well, my uncle's restaraunt is #2 (Howard's Cafe out in Patchogue) and Clare Rose is the distributor of Budweiser on LI so that's how I know.....
It's a pretty crazy spot, but I'm ashamed to admit I've never been there before. I'm sure FH would go if he was able to drag some of his friends along as well...
