if you do end up finding it DO NOT tell them your cat did it. they don't cover things that pets do! i remember them telling us that when we got our furniture..

They might not cover animal rip/tears, but they definitely cover pet fluids (i.e. peeing on the couch), just in case anyone else needed it for that purpose. I distinctly remember them telling us this and me thinking 'oh great' because most of our messes are puppy messes.
