Body for lifers question

okay it is my first day- is yougart a good breakfast?

so far today-yougart
water
body for life bar
water
turkey sand on multigrain, 1 slice low fat cheese lettuce tom mustard..I have only eaten half the sand and feel thanksgiving full..

the other half of sand-should I toss it? snack it, or save for tomorrow(is that okay or should I have more variety?)

then I have a banana for a later snack..I will tell DH to bring me home a chicken salad for dinner...then I snack again?

Tonight I am going to do cardio..tomorrow weights, usually I do both on the same day, but I will try cutting it in two..tia

Re: Body for lifers question

Hello, Congrats on starting!! I am only 1 week in but have done lots of research on the program and thats why i decided to go for it.

What I have taken notice of so far is:

Yogurt on its own is not good for breakfast alone. You need to add some protein, because yogurt alone does not have enough for it to be considered a 'complete meal'

I would say have the other half of sandwich for snack later, no use in it going to waste!

For the workouts-- oof, I am relaly sore this week, but it feels great. I am pushing myself harder in cardio than I ever have.

Do you have the BFL book? Everything is out lined pretty wekk in there, and the Eating for Life book has great recipes that are all authorized. Might want to check it out!

Did you take your measurements, bodyfat, and pictures to start? theyw ill be the greatest indicators of progress-- not the scale!

Good luck and stay with it!

Each of your meals need to have a portion of protein and a portion of carbohydrates. So, no, yogurt for breakfast is no good on its own. You can add some cottage cheese too, or some scrambled egg whites. Same with the banana - you need to include some protein. I would save half the sandwich and eat it later in the afternoon (maybe with your banana) or eat it tomorrow. It's okay to eat the whole thing in one sitting though - and the fact that you've put lettuce and tomato on it is great!

Technically, you should eat again after y our chicken salad, but I could never squeeze that last meal in.

I think you'll be so amazed with the exercise bit. I used to go to the gym for an hour or an hour and half at a time before BFL, but once I started, I was in and out of the gym in just a little more than 30 minutes and the results were so much more drastic than if I did cardio for 5 hours straight!!!

Good luck! FM me if you have any questions (I'm in my 7th week of what's probably my 3rd time doing BFL!)
