My sister just used them on Saturday. They were great. Very high-energy. Played alot of great music.
I didn't really notice the lighting. The MC was FANTASTIC
One thing I did hear from several people is that they were not playing requests. I know my sister had some songs on her must play list, and we also requested them - like Bon Jovi - and they never played them.
But I still think they did a GREAT job. had everyone dancing all night.

I have another friend that used them last August. The dance floor was packed all night long....they did a really great job.

was close to booking them! the only reason i didnt was because i decided to go with LI sound instead only cuz my brother used and knew someone that worked there so we got a deal!

We used them and we weren't too happy. They told us upfront to make a play list of songs b/c we're music snobs and not fans of disco, techno, hip hop, etc and they will stick to that list only. Yeah right! DH & I spent hours upon hours of making this play list and they didn't play one song! But played everything we hated.
Also, we specifically said No conga line, half way into the reception I'm being pulled into a conga line.
Bottom line, they're gonna do what they want to do but I think this goes for any DJ company.

i have them booked and so far so good....but i just got scared after reading that conga line thing....i really really do not want any organized dancing

I FEEL THE SAME WAY!! My mother thinks I'm insane but I already said no chicken dance, no hokey pokey, DEFINITELY no conga line and absolutely no leis, plastic hats, moroccas, any of that sweet 16 stuff lol the only thing I wouldn't mind would be the electric slide or the cha cha slide. I've always hated those organized dances and I really don't want them at my wedding. My mom says people look forward to that but I disagree.

Make them write it down on your contract!!! Then ask for a photocopy.

We met with them and the woman was nice.
ETA - just read you already booked. I'm sure all will be fine - just make sure you aer super clear with them!

I went to see them. They seemed very nice and reasonable. They had good prices. BUT the big red flag for me was they seemed VERY unwilling to play what we would want to hear. I mentioned some things and she shot me down right away!!! I didn't like that so we booked with FM entertainment because they seemed more open to work with the type of music you want to hear! That was actually the most important factor going into the entertainment search... so for me this was a HUGE deal! Other's might not mind so much about it.

I'm not at all surprised by this! I got the feeling this is what would of happened to us if we booked them. Why did they tell you to make a play list if they were going to nix it without telling you? Bottom line... I didn't want to pay people to NOT do what I want. Not to sound bitchy or anything but it's a lot of money.. MY MONEY... and they should play what you want them to play.
I think a lot of companies would be like to a certain degree. But not all.
Honestly, FM was soooo great when we talked about this topic. They even said if a song is too much of a downer they can change the beat of the song a little bit. I also went to a wedding they did recently and they played very good music... the bride didn't have any complaints that i heard about and her group also listens to not your average pop bands etc.

FH was in a wedding last August & they were awesome!! it was the best wedding I've ever been to! haha but I dont know all those specifics if they played what they wanted etc..knowing the bride & how she is..plus she is young & I think the music was pretty much what they wanted...also a patient of mine jst used them last month at their daughter's bat mitzvah & they seemed very happy as well :) good luck!

For some reason they got my number and called.....even though I saw them at a expo i didn't give them my number..The lady asked me if I booked entertainment yet and hen I said yes she had the worst attitude. I said it wasn't my fault that she contacted me after the fact.
