I am a body wrap virgin! I am going for my first tomorrow. What can I expect?

Re: Body wraps
Depends on the body wrap. I did one with Seaweed.
She left me in there too long.. it actually felt like it was burning through to my bones.
I kept asking out loud for someone to come in, but it's so sound proof no one heard me. It was my first time so when she finally came into take me to wash it off I said nothing.
I hurt washing it off too. After I dried down I noticed I had really really red skin on my calfs and over my collar bone. It was very sensitive.
The next day those areas broke out in hurtful bumps. They felt raw. For a week I suffered with that.
It was hard to complain because my FH had gotten me a 4 hour spa treatment package for valentines. Paid a good amount for it too. Still, the facial and the Massage made up for everything. I left feeling so 'smooth' and 'clean'. I loved the smell of the oils they used.... *Sigh*
ETA: Also the back of my thighs had that burn thing going on. That hurt when I sat down for that following week!

Re: Body wraps
I had one before my wedding and it was hot, I don't know why I chose to do it, for one I do not believe it makes you lose any weight and 2 I do not like hot water. I take cold showers most of the time. I hope you enjoy it. I would not do it again.

Re: Body wraps
I had one is a spa in Telluride - I hate massages but I enjoyed this. I liked the hot seaweed wrap and the scrub. My skin felt so soft for the few hours after!!!

Re: Body wraps
I don't like body wraps. I feel like they are a waste of money. I rather spend my cash on a massage or a dead sea salt rub. It all depends what you like - a friend of mine hates people touching her so she loved the body wrap because it was done with a paint brush and the only part of her that they masseaged was her scalp.

Re: Body wraps
Matt bought me a package with an hour massage, a body wrap, a facial, paraffin hand and foot dip and a collagen mask. The wrap is the only thing I have never done before. It sounds like an experience!
