BoK/Garder Toss??

I don't think that I want to do the BoK toss or the garder up the dress thing. I never pictured myself doing it. Instead, I would like to give my 'toss away' BoK to my mom. My mom thinks I should do teh toss. What is everyone else doing?

Im not doing it either. i am giving my toss bo-k to one of my friends who will be getting married a fe wmonths after mine...to 'pass it off' if you will to her and wish her luck

Im not doing many traditional things, but i promised my mom I would at least do the Bo-K toss, I refuse to do the garter toss..

i agree, i am not doing the garter or the bouquet throwing, i am trying to cut out some tradtional wedding things and throwing in some of my own, i am trying to have things a little different. i am going to make a speech and dedicate my bouquet to my mom.

I will probably do the traditional tosses. I never really gave it any thought if I was or not. I like the idea of giving it to your mother and the idea of giving it to your friend. Both very sweet!

I have read that a few brides on here have thrown their bo-k at the church after the ceremony. That sounds like a nice idea. You can also do the anniversary dance and give the bouquet to the couple that has been married the longest. You can get extra bo-ks from the florist...you don't have to use your as a throw away

We aren't doing either. Not sure if I am even going to get a throw away bo-k.

We are not doing a BOK toss bc both of us don't have any single friends....I still wanted to to do the garter bc there are tons of single guys...I think though we are going to do an anniversary dance & give away the BOK that way

I'm still up in the air about it.. I really want to do the garter/bok toss...I think it's fun... I can't even imagine what shades of red FH would be when he has to get the garter from under my dress in front of 200+ of our closest family and friends! lol...

I'm doing and here's why. ITs a chance to get your guests involved. I went to two wedding where they didn't do it and me and my friends felt like something was missings. Its their chance to get the spotlight. The whole day is about the bride and groom. Also, it is sooo much fun. But I do see both sides of it. I don't understand why you would give your b-k to your mom, but whatever floats your boat!

We're doing the anniversary dance instead. But I do like the idea of giving my mom the bo-k.

I am throwing a half dozen roses into the crowd. Everyone will think i am throwing my bo-k but they are in for a suprise!!!

My FH and I are going to do the Bok toss but we are gonna cut out the garter toss that takes too much time taking it off and then putting it on the person who caught the bok. I ha ve been to a few weddings where thats all they did was the bok toss and not the garter then again we are still deciding if we even want to do the bok toss. That takes time as well getting everyone on the floor.

I don't think that I will be doing this as I wont have too many singles there either. What I was thinking of doing was having the DJ as all the married women on the dance floor and asking the woman who have been married 1 yr to sit down, then 5 yrs and then who ever is married the longest I will give them the boquet... FH thinks its cheesy but I think it is nice....

doing neither, Were going with the Anniversary Dance as well. It was done at the last wedding we went to and I LOVED it! What a great idea!
