That's no good. I think your office needs some better communications.

I'm going to say something. It usually is pretty good ... we have a Contingency Committee and Evacuation Drills (I get to walk down 21 flights of stairs every few months) and emergency packages for every few people ... don't know what happened today!

Oh man.. I went though that yesterday.. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot of these bomb scares as we get closer to the convention.. it's going to become part of our daily lives for a while..

As far as your building notifying you.. I would bring that up to your fire safety person or your HR department..

I'm sure the non-alarmist way they handled it is part of their emergency plan. They probably don't want to cause mass chaos until they are sure, but I'm not sure if that makes sense, bc then it will be too late. So scary that our fate is in others' hands. I would definitely question their policy, but I think you'll just have to have faith in it or you'll scare yourself into oblivion. I'm sure they have something in place.

come on now...we can't have it both ways...you either want to know everything or you don't...i like to trust that the powers that be know what they are doing and are doing their best to keep us safe...beyond that...i don't want to know anything...

I know how you feel - just read an article in New York magazine last night that made me feel not so alone, as far as my feelings of being frigtened every day - peirodicaly thru the day more so now than ever.

So sad that we all have to deal with this every day now. I literally thank God every day I get off that train at night that I got home. Sad isn't it ?

OMG No way!! That's where Norma's is! I would die if they took away my Norma's!! I can't get waffles like that anywhere else!!

(OK, didn't mean to trivialize the bomb threat, but... that's the first thing that came to mind!)
