I'm going there tonight for BM gowns (Im the MOH ) any experiences good or bad? Can anyone tell me where it is?

My best friend who got married last June ordered her dresses there. I thought they did a horrible job w/ the alterations. I had to get my dress altered 7 times bc they kept doing a crappy job. The last time i got it altered was 2 days before her wedding and it still didn't fit me right, so the day of her wedding my dress was alittle baggy!

We ordered the BM gowns from there and had a really good experience each time we went in to try on stuff. The day we ordered them was a breeze. They have not come in yet so I don't have input about alterations.

They are very friendly and helpful. I tried on several dresses there but I could not find what I wanted.

Horrible! i bought a dress there for my friends wedding. while the dress alterations were fine, they butchered the dye job on our bridesmaid shoes. the color was spotty and uneven. and they had the nerve to say it looked fine - noone would see the mistakes! and they charged us to redye the shoes. dont get shoes dyed there.

Ha ha - I had to chuckle when I saw this thread. My sister cannot come up with enough words to describe how aweful the women there made her feel. We went there for BMs gowns for my cousin's wedding in 2001. Not only did they make crude remarks about her figure (and did the same to all the girls in the wedding party) but they ruined a dress she bought with their horrible alterations. And made her buy it anyway! Not worth it in my opinon. Sorry.

I'm LauraPete's sister...I highly recommend Bonaventure if you are interested in being told to do some situps while they pat your belly.

I called them about renting my dress, cause the one I wanted was out of my budget to purchase. They me an attitude over the phone. It apparntly was a hassle to check to see if they carried that exaxt dress. They explained that in order for me to rent the dress I would have to fit into the one they had. Then began to snicker about how I would need to be a six in reg clothes on order to fit it. Do you think you could do that honey? We get so few girls these days who know how to take care of themselves! Whatever!! Needless to say I bought a dress and it wasnt from them.

I happen to love the ladies at Boneventure... nothing but kind words to say abou them. I am honest surpised to hear all these negative remarks! But I guess to each's own...

BONADVENTURE IS IN GARDEN CITY, ITS A GREAT PLACE. I'M ACTUALLY GOING THERE MYSELF FOR MY WEDDING GOWN AND BRIDESMAID DRESSES, THEY ALSO HAVE A TUX PLACE DOWNSTAIRS, MY BEST FRIENDS SISTER WENT THERE FOR HER GOWN AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, THEY GIVE U FULL ATTENTION!!! GOOD LUCK
