I figured since we're less than a week away from the New Year we have some decisions to make about the book. Should we go with a specific page number to read by the first 'meeting'? When should we talk about it first? Should there be rules about jumping ahead, or at least rules about not talking about what others didnt read yet?
I dont anyone to have to get bossy about this but I was thinking maybe there should be designated days to start posting about the book... some may finish the week's reading earlier and want to post about it but then ruin it for the girls who haven't finished the week's reading yet. Just a thought... I guess we'll all figure out what to do together.

Re: Book Club Decisions
We could definitely make certain dates to post... when i was on an online book club once before we did one where we did 4-5 chapters at a time and POSTED... then we did one where we read the whole book by......................... certain date.. and began to post... it can go either way.. depending on how all the girls wanna do it!

Re: Book Club Decisions
Yeah that makes sense.
A friend of mine told me what they do is they take the number of chapters and divide it into the amount of weeks (so if we are doing it in a month, that amount of weeks, two months, that amount of weeks)
We should have a designated time/day that we can all atleast tr to get on to discuss it :)

Re: Book Club Decisions
I think that is a great idea.
Should we nominate someone to be in charge of this?
I guess we need to decide on all of this by Monday at the latest.

i totally agree with that... i always hated it when people read ahead and spoiled certain parts for me...
How long do you girls want to take to read the book?

Re: Book Club Decisions
who has the book? Mine still hasnt come...
whoever has the book should let us know how many chapters there are and then we can work from there :)

Re: Book Club Decisions
I don't have the book with me at work, but we should figure out pages, chapters and schedule accordingly by week. I would say this should be done over a month?

Re: Book Club Decisions
that sounds ROUGHLY accurate!!! however, 68 pages may put us in the middle of a chapter... it will depend on how everyone feels about that.....

That works for me! I'm so anal that I always have to finish the chapter instead of stopping in the middle of one.
FH couldn't remember the name of the book, so he gave me a Border's gift card to go pick it up. LOL
