So being the avid reader that I am, I have collected a huge stash of books that I've already read. What do you all do with your books that you have finished? Does anyone know of a place on LI that will accept used books? Looking to get rid of them.

Re: Book Donation/Recycling
I usually save my absolute favorites to lend to my friends.
Others I usually donate to the public library. Some library programs sell used books for different in house organizations. other libraries use the books to bring to people that are unable to travel to the library.
You could also donate them to the waiting areas in a hospital, families are always sitting around, a book may help them pass the time
Hope this helps.

Re: Book Donation/Recycling
the book revue in huntington buys books and will either give you money or store credit. you get more $$ if you take the credit. they won't take everything, but I got $12 credit for about that many books ... not bad.
i think there is a place in bellmore on merrick rd that buys books, too. near the pond? i've driven past it a few times, but that was years ago ...
you can also bring them to a library for their 'for sale' rack, or to a salvation army or thrift store.
