Anyone have any ideas on how we could do sometype of exchange or loaner program, there are so many new good books I'd love to read but cannot afford to buy and I have so many....I dont know how we would do it, we would have to 'ship' the books back and forth I guess, but media mail( for books) is cheaper maybe we could make it work? Like list a book , see who wants to 'borrow' it???

Re: Book exchange
I'm always looking for books!
How would this work? Through mail? A GTG?

Re: Book exchange
Good question, I mean in reality a GTG might be hard to arange, if enough people were up for it, through media mail, a hardcover book might cost less then then $2.00 to ship, Softcover or paperback like 75 cents so it could be ok to do through mail?
Anyone have any books they are looking to read? See if I have them...or we could post lists too?
I'll tell you I'm looking to 'borrow'...'The five people you meet in heaven'

Re: Book exchange
Will we get these back? I like my books, In don't mind lending them but they're part of my 'library' ...
Here is a small list of what I have right now that I would recommend: Vinegar Hill by A. Manette Ansay Songs in Ordinary Time by Mary McGarry Morris Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan (with Intro from Anna Quindlin) Coming Home by Rosamund Pilcher Mother of Pearl by Melina Haynes Lolita by Nabokov

hrmm interesting.. Our own.. Book Club Swap?
Maybe meet up and exchange books or mail either way.
I have to update my catalog this weekend (running out of space in my limited area I have at Jim's house) so I can update you guys on what I have. You'd just have to give me a genre.
