I have only read vampire books thise entire year. I'm just a tiny bit obsessed. LOL But here are my recs...
Stephanie Meyer: Twilight series Laurell K. Hamilton: Anita Blake series (first is Guilty Pleasures) Charlaine Harris: True Blood series (first is Dead until Dark) Books I read before the vamps that were good are... Lauren Weisberger: Everyone worth knowing and if you've read The Da Vinci Code and enjoyed it you would like anything by Steve Berry.

Re: book recs?
They're both kinda old news, but I recommend
The Lovely Bones (movie's coming out soon too)
Memoirs of a Geisha (I literally couldn't put this down but thought the movie was terribly boring and didn't like it)
