So we booked a wedding coordinator. Never thought I would but FH was dead set on it. He does not want me to stress about these things and thinks that this will alleviate some of my stress with planning a wedding and working the hours I do..... .
So we will see how it goes......i'm a bit of a control freak so I am still unsure how I feel about it...but hey it is his wedding also....

that's awesome, i'm sure it will help a lot...and just make sure she/he is aware that you still want control over everything.
we booked with Francesca at Dazzling Affairs. She was wonderful, really took the time to get to know FH and I. She has already followed-up with me about photographers and we only met with her yesterday.

really?? Did you book her as DOC or wedding planner?
I booked her as DOC 10 days ago, and didn't hear anything from her until I e-mailed her couple days ago. I was expecting a follow up mail soon after we first met, but she didn't.
Maybe as DOC, she is not obliged to 'help me' via my wedding planning?? who knows?

she said she booked her as a wedding planner so thats why, shes probably gonna help her look for vendors.
If you hired her as a DOC she will be in contact with you when its closer to the wedding

That great. I think FH wants to book one so I don't bother him with too much stuff. I say no problem as long as it's in the budget!
